Boy stabbed by another boy

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was stabbed repeatedly by another 17-year-old boy in barangay Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu City Saturday night.

The victim, a resident of barangay Looc, Lapu-Lapu, was brought to the city hospital with stab wounds in the neck, chest and back.

Police said Mario (not his real name), a resident of barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu, was armed with an icepick in the attack.

The victim was waylaid while he and his girlfriend were walking home after a stroll in the plaza last Saturday night.

The victim’s girlfriend and a concerned citizen brought him to a nearby hospital. He was later transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

Mario was later arrested in his home. He was turned over to the social workers, said SPO1 Allan Pantaleon.

Police said the victim’s girlfriend was Mario’s former lover. Mario blamed the victim as the cause of their break-up./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
