Boy pinned to death
A nine-year-old boy was pinned to death by a pick-up car in barangay Abucayan, Balamban town, western Cebu last Saturday.
Police said Great Joseph Saratubias leaned on a concrete wall to give way to a pick-up car which was negotiating a downhill portion of a narrow road past 2 p.m. last Saturday.
The Toyota pick-up with plate number GES-308 was driven by 39-year-old driver Peter Jumabon, Jr. of Dian Catering Services in barangay Sta. Cruz-Sto. Niño, Balamban.
While the car headed downhill, its brake malfunctioned causing it to swerve towards the area where the boy leaned on the wall.
The boy sustained fatal head injuries. Jumabon surrendered to the Balamban police after the accident./REPORTER RHEA RUTH V. ROSELL
