7 rescued from boat accident in Batangas

MANILA, Philippines – Seven people were rescued by authorities when their motorized boat capsized in Batangas early Thursday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Friday.

The accident happened on Sitio (sub-village) Bakasyunan, Barangay (village) Simlong, Batangas at around 8:30 a.m.

Rescued were:

1.   Alvin Cuasay, 28

2.   Richard Atienza-36

3.   Patricia Atienza-15

4.   Paula Atienza-14

5.   Pauleen Atienza-6

6.   Jovic Cante-13

7.   Councilor Arnel L. Enrequez
