Man gunned down

A MAN was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in barangay Guadaluoe, Cebu City.

  Illegal drug connection is being looked into as a possible motive in the killing of 47-year-old Sergio Zafra, said Senior Insp. Jul Mohammad Jamiri, chief of the homicide section of Cebu City Police Office.

  The attack happened around 3 p.m. last Tuesday.

  Police said Zafra was seen using his cell phone while walking along a road  when a motorcycle with two men on board arrived.

  The backrider drew a gun and shot Zafra several times, said police.

  Several empty shells from a .45 pistol were recovered in the crime scene. /CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
