Thunderstorm warning up in Metro Manila, nearby provinces

Localized thunderstorms intensified by LPA cause rains in NCR, nearby provinces

The public was advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides following a thunderstorm warning issued Tuesday afternoon.

A thunderstorm advisory issued by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration at 2:35 p.m. said Metro Manila (Northern Caloocan, Quezon City), Bulacan (San Jose del Mote, Meycauayan, Marilao), Rizal (San Mateo, Antipolo), Cavite (Magallanes, Maragondon), Batangas (Nasugbu, Tuy), Quezon (Gumaca, Pitogo, Lacalelon) and parts of Zambales will be affected by heavy rains with lightning and strong winds in the next two hours.

Tarlac, Pampanga and Laguna are also expected to experience the same weather conditions in the next two hours.

While generally fair weather is forecast on Tuesday, Pagasa said isolated rains are expected across the country.
