The occurrence of isolated rain could be expected across the country amid the prevailing hot weather, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Tuesday.

The ridge of high pressure area, which is still affecting Northern Luzon, as well as the easterlies continue to make the country’s weather humid, the state weather agency noted.

Weather forecaster Gener Quitlong said Tuguegarao City experienced the hottest temperature in the country on Monday, April 23, at 39 degrees Celsius.

Pagasa said partly cloudy to cloudy skies are also seen throughout the country this Tuesday.              /kga
