The National Police Commission (Napolcom) sought to clarify reports saying the height requirement for police recruitment had been scrapped.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Napolcom said the requirement was removed only for those taking the Philippine National Police entrance exams, not for the entire process of recruitment.

Height (1.62 meters for males and 1.57 meters for females) was still among the basic qualifications for police applicants, it said. —Jaymee Gamil
