LUCENA CITY – A 16-year-old motorcyclist was killed by a hit-and-run driver along the Maharlika highway in Tiaong town in Quezon province on the eve of Christmas Day, police said.
A report from the Quezon police office said the victim, Adrian Velasco Manalo, student and resident of Barangay (village) Lumingon, was aboard a Honda XRM motorcycle when side swept by an unidentified white van trailing behind him in the village around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday.
Upon impact, the victim fell out of his motorcycle and consequently run over by the van, causing his immediate death. The suspect immediately escaped after the accident. /kga
