Senate resumes probe on hazing death

The Senate committees on public order and dangerous drugs, justice and human rights, and constitutional amendments and revision of codes continued on Monday their investigation on the alleged fatal hazing of University of Santo Tomas (UST) law student Horacio “Atio” Castillo III.

Senator Panfilo Lacson, who chairs the public order and dangerous drugs committee, has subpoenaed 18 members and officers of the Aegis Juris Fraternity, as well as 12 alumni of the brotherhood.

Castillo allegedly died in the hands of members of Aegis Juris.
