Feb. 19, 1899 The Budget Act of 1899 was signed by President Emilio Aguinaldo for the First Philippine Republic.

Feb. 21, 1920 Marinduque was declared a province by Act No. 2880 passed by the National Assembly.

Feb. 24, 2000 Republic Act No. 8973 created the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, encompassing the former third district of Zamboanga del Sur; with the town of Ipil declared as the capital.
