At least four confirmed dead in Mindanao quake

SURIGAO CITY–At least four people were confirmed dead and hundreds were injured in Friday’s 10 p.m. magnitude-6.7 quake that hit the city and surrounding areas.

The number of confirmed deaths was from local hospitals here alone.

The quake, which generated dozens of aftershocks as of Saturday morning, also caused massive infrastructure damage and isolated several areas as bridges collapsed.
