SC declares half-day work in Manila courts on Jan. 9

Work suspension in all courts in Manila shall start at 12 noon on Jan. 9 during the Feast of the Black Nazarene, the Supreme Court (SC) announced Friday.

Covered by the suspension are the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals (CA), Manila Regional Trial Courts and Manila Metropolitan Trial Courts.

The high court said specified offices at SC and CA shall maintain a skeletal force for urgent filings and pleadings with Monday deadlines. CDG/rga
