LOS BAÑOS, Laguna — An illegal drug suspect was killed after engaging the police in a firefight in Bay town in Laguna early Sunday.

Intelligence police officers conducted a buy-bust operation around 3:45 a.m. in Barangay (village) Dila that targeted the suspect initially identified only as alias “Luloy,” a resident of Barangay Pansol in Calamba City.

Supt. Chitadel Gaoiran, spokesperson of the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon (CALABARZON) police, said during the transaction, the suspect drew his gun and engaged the law enforcers.

She said the suspect was killed on the spot. CDG
