Headless corpse believed an Abu kidnap victim found in Sulu

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A headless corpse was recovered in Patikul, Sulu on Thursday, a Sulu-based physician said.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, which was accompanied by the photo of a headless man who wore a red shirt, Dr. Raden Ikbala of the Sulu Integrated Provincial Hospital said the decapitated body was found in Barangay liyu Bangkal in Patikul around 4 p.m. Thursday.

He said the body was believed to be that of 18-year-old kidnap victim Patrick Almodovar, whom the Abu Sayyaf beheaded on Wednesday.

Almodovar’s head was recovered in Indanan town, also on Wednesday.

The military said it has no information on the headless corpse yet. CDG/rga
