President Rodrigo Duterte arrived in Tondo, Manila, for a solidarity dinner with the poor community on Thursday night.
The President was welcomed by hundreds of indigent families at Delpan Sports Complex at 8:41 p.m.
Social Welfare Secretary Judy Taguiwalo said Duterte really wanted to be with the poor, who she said were at the center of his campaign.
Duterte’s running mate Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano is also present in the gathering.
