The appointments of close to 200 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) have been recommended for confirmation by a panel of the powerful Commission on Appointments (CA).
The CA’s committee on national defense recommended on Wednesday the ad interim re-appointments and appointments of a total of 196 AFP officials for approval later at the plenary.
The confirmation of the military officials came just days before the 16th Congress adjourns sine die next week. The new Congress will open on July 25. RAM
