The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on Tuesday rejected vice presidential aspirant Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s call to stop its partial, unofficial tallying of votes.

“The Filipino people have the right to know … This is a democracy,” PPCRV spokesperson Anna Singson told reporters when asked about Marcos’ request.

The camp of the late dictator’s son and namesake on Tuesday appealed to the PPRCV and the Commission on Elections to terminate its unofficial count supposedly to avoid confusion from the official tally.

As of 4:30 p.m., PPCRV’s unofficial tally stands at 92.77 percent of precincts counted—92,509 clustered precincts and 1,767 overseas absentee voting precincts.

Marcos is trailing administration candidate Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo by over 200,000 votes. PPCRV said an estimated two to four million votes have yet to be transmitted.
