THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) en banc on Tuesday denied the motion for reconsideration filed by Senator Grace Poe regarding her disqualification from the presidential race.

A report from GMA 7’s 24 Oras said the Comelec backed the earlier decisions of the poll body’s first and second division disqualifying Poe due to her citizenship and residency issues.

However, the report said the Comelec en banc denied the motion of lawyer Estrella Elamparo to exclude Poe from the lists of candidates in the election ballot as Poe is expected to elevate her case before the Supreme Court. NC
