MANILA, Philippines–Firefighters are still trying to put out the blaze in a shanty area in the Tondo District of Manila that hit the highest fire alarm on Monday night.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, authorities have placed the fire that broke out at Parola Compound under General Alarm around 7:42 p.m.
Media reports said fire started around 6 p.m.
