Rainfall warning in NCR, 4 provinces downgraded to Orange
MANILA, Philippines – The state weather bureau on Friday night lifted the Red rainfall warning over Metro Manila as Tropical Storm “Mario” slightly weakened.
However, “Panahon TV” reported that the Red rainfall warning is hoisted in the following provinces: Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac and Nueva Ecija.
A Red rainfall warning means the rainfall amount is more than 30 millimeters within an hour. If it continues for three hours, 65 mm rainfall amount is expected. Severe flooding is also expected in these areas.
Meanwhile, the rainfall warning in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Rizal and Cavite was downgraded to Orange.
Under the Orange rainfall warning, 15 to 30 millimeters of rainfall is expected in the next two hours. Flood is also described as threatening under this warning.
Laguna, Batangas and Quezon province were placed under yellow rainfall warning. The yellow rainfall warning means 7.5 to 15 mm of rainfall amount is expected within an hour. Flooding is expected in low lying areas.
