De Lima wants BuCor report on Bilibid ‘tunnel’

MANILA, Philippines–Justice Secretary Leila De Lima on Tuesday ordered Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Jesus Bucayu to submit a report on the tunnel discovered inside the Maximum Security Compound of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
The tunnel was located near Building 11 and the Lethal Injection Chamber. It is also near the cell of convicted drug lord Amin Buratong.

“I’m expecting a report on that from Dir. Bucayo. Depending on the contents of said report, I might order a probe,” De Lima said in a text message.
