Calderon wins anew

JETTE CALDERON continued to solidify his reputation as Cebu’s best karter after he sped off with the KT Expert class title in the fifth leg of the 2013 Kartzone Superkart Series last Sunday afternoon at the Kartzone Racing Circuit in Brgy. Panagdait.

The youngster was in a class all on his own as he won the final heat in dominant fashion. He took the checkered flag in the 25-lap race with a time of 13 minutes, 23.141 seconds, nearly three seconds ahead of his closest pursuer, Sean Velasco (13:25.854). Joseph Rojo claimed the last podium slot with a time of 13:28.840.

Calderon capped his incredible run in the final heat by clocking in the best lap time of 31.206 seconds. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
