Mayor Soc: I couldn’t do anything but cry

/ 07:13 AM May 10, 2013

TALISAY City Mayor Socrates Fernandez urged his son to surrender. He denied knowledge of Joavan’s plan to bolt out of jail or having any hand in his escape.

“Igo na lang kung nagpatulo sa akong luha sa dihang akong nasayran ang balita nga nipuga diay siya gumikan kay nahadlok ug nabalaka ko kung unsa ang mahitabo kaniya,” Mayor Fernandez said in a phone interview.

(I couldn’t do anything but cry after learning about what happened. I fear for his safety and I’m very anxious about what could happen to him.)
