MANILA, Philippines — Six vehicles figured in a collision when the tire of one was detached on the northbound lane of the Skyway approaching C5 Thursday, although no one was hurt in the accident.
Eugene Grecia of Skyway control center said the left rear tire of an L-300 van was detached from the vehicle as it approached the CD exit at 7:44 a.m.
The detached wheel hit the vehicle in front, causing a chain reaction involving, among others, passenger bus, a closed van, and a Suzuki vehicle.
“May passenger bus pero wala namang nasaktan, nilipat lang sila ng sasakyan,” Grecia said.
The vehicles were cleared at 8:27 a.m.,Grecia said.
