Police said that an hour after checking in, two of the guests—a male and female—checked out. One hour later, the remaining female guest also checked out leaving a lone male guest.

Diaz told investigators she heard the victim and one of the male guests in a heated argument because he wanted all four of them to occupy one room.

At 2 a.m. on Monday, the last male guest checked out, after which Antonio and Diaz found the victim’s body.
