Goldberry hands Gaisano first loss

THE GOLDBERRY Suites continued to run roughshod over the rest of the field as it handed Gaisano Capital its first loss of the tournament with a 75-49 whooping in the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletics Association last Sunday at the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.

  Last year’s runners-up wasted no time in asserting themselves as they led, 40-23, at halftime and never looked back.

  Jeremy Huang paced the winners with 14 points even as Eugene Tan added 10 more.

  In another game, JAPFA routed the A-Team, 73-54.

  Ed Macasling led the charge with 17 points while Kylee Valmoria added 13.

  The Cebu Landmasters also beat RDAK, 58-41, while Insular Square trounced Fiesta Cebuana, 57-40. The reigning champions Dynamic Power logged a 92-70 win over Twin Tower Gold. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
