De Venecia, Bartolome, Carpio arrive at the House for Sona 2012

MANILA, Philippines—Guests have started to arrive at the House of Representatives for President Benigno Aquino III’s third State of the Nation Address (Sona) this Monday afternoon.

Former Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. was among the early birds who quietly passed through the southwing of the House as early as 1:00 p.m.

Also seen at the vicinity were Associate Justice Antonio Carpio, acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Philippine National Police chief, Director General Nicanor Bartolome.

Other local government officials and former congressmen arrived ahead of them

The President is set to deliver his speech at 3:30 p.m.
