According to the legal counsel, her client, Alyana Mari Aguinaldo, more popularly known as “Yanna,” chose not to attend for security reasons as she received numerous threats and insults after the incident and especially after her address was exposed on social media.

“But Yanna Motovlog sent a letter to the LTO apologizing not only to the driver of the pick-up and his family but also to all the people affected by her behavior on the road when the incident happened in Zambales,” the LTO said in a statement.

“She said she is ready to accept the sanctions that would be imposed by the LTO in connection with the incident,” the statement said of the vlogger.

Meanwhile, LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II said the agency has already ordered Aguinaldo’s legal counsel to surrender her license as part of the sanction imposed on her after the incident.

“We imposed a 90-day preventive suspension on her driver’s license as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident. In the light of her absence during the hearing, we mandated her, through her legal counsel, to surrender her driver’s license. That is for her own good,” said Mendoza.

Another hearing was set on Thursday, May 8, where the vlogger was not only directed to surrender her license, but also the motorcycle she was using at the time of the incident—which was not registered under her name.

Based on the viral video, Aguinaldo was riding a motorbike on her Zambales road trip when she gave a pickup driver the middle finger after the latter swerved when she was about to overtake.

The pick-up driver explained that he had to change lanes because the roads were bumpy.

During the hearing, the pick-up driver explained that he was supposed to let the incident go but was forced to confront Aguinaldo when he found out that she and her group waited to confront him.
