Paolo Duterte slapped with grave threats, physical injuries raps

Davao City Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte

MANILA, Philippines A complaint for grave threats and physical injuries has been filed against Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte, the Department of Justice (DOJ) confirmed on Friday.

Prosecutor General Richard Anthony Fadullon said the DOJ’s main office in Manila received the complaint. It was filed by a certain Kristone John Patria from Davao City.

It took the complainant almost three months to file the complaint for an incident that happened on February 23, 2025 in a bar along Bo. Obrero in Davao City.

“Dahil po ma-impluwensiya ang kanilang pamilya doon sa Davao City, kaya po hindi na po ako gumawa ng aksyon para kalabanin sya,” he said.

(He came from an influential family in Davao City, which is why I did not immediately take action against him.)

INQUIRER.net has reached Duterte’s camp but has yet to respond as of posting time.
