MANILA, Philippines — Dagupan City in Pangasinan and 16 other areas are forecast to reach “dangerous” heat index levels on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In Pagasa’s updated bulletin, Dagupan City is expected to peak at the highest heat index of 47°C. The city also recorded the same and the highest heat index on Tuesday.

Under the “dangerous” category, the heat index ranges from 42°C to 51°C. Heat exhaustion and heat cramps are possible, while continued exposure to the sun can lead to heatstroke.
