MANILA, Philippines — Fire struck a residential area in Tondo, Manila on Wednesday morning was extinguished after more than nine hours, the Bureau of Fire Protection – National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) reported.
The BFP-NCR said that the fire broke out at JV Pas Compound in Barangay 123, Tondo, Manila.
The first alarm was raised at 1:56 a.m., and eventually escalated to the second and third alarms at 1:59 a.m. and 2 a.m., respectively.

It reached the fourth alarm at 2:11 a.m. and the fifth alarm at 2:23 a.m.
The fire was declared under control at 7:09 a.m. and extinguished after almost four hours at 11:05 a.m.
