Sunday evening traffic remains heavy in some parts of NLEx

MANILA, Philippines — Heavy volume of vehicles is being experienced at the southbound lanes of the San Fernando to San Simon and Plaridel to Balagtas portions of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) as of Sunday evening.

As of 9:20 p.m., the NLEx Corporation said a large number of vehicles running approximately 20 to 30 kilometers per hour were recorded in these portions.

The NLEX Corporation has opened zipper lanes for southbound motorists in the following portions:

“Light traffic in all other areas of NLEx-SCTEx- NLEx Connector including toll plazas and interchanges,” it also said.
