12 fugitives nabbed in Bicol

Anti-narcotic operatives arrested seven suspects, including two minors, in drug buy-bust operations on Saturday, March 15, in Rizal, Batangas and Cavite provinces.

CALABANGA, CAMARINES SUR — Twelve fugitives in Bicol were arrested during the region-wide crackdown against wanted persons on Monday.

High-profile arrests included “Juan,” 47, the 9th most wanted person in the region, who was arrested at Sual, Pangasinan by Irosin, Sorsogon police for rape, a report said Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Masbate’s most wanted person, “Roger,” a high-ranking member of the New People’s Army (NPA), who served as the Command Officer of Platoon 2, Kilusang Larangang Guerilla South, Sub-Regional Committee 4, Bicol Regional Party Committee, was also arrested Monday for two counts of murder.

The police reported that the others arrested were four fugitives in Albay, three in Sorsogon and Masbate, and one each in Naga City and Camarines Norte. Grace Lucila, Inquirer Intern
