Among those arrested was the company owner identified by the CIDG as Chi Ho, a Chinese national.

The operation stemmed from a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 66 in Capas, Tarlac.

The four arrested suspects were charged before the National Prosecution Service for manufacturing, selling, distributing or importing a consumer product that was below the country’s applicable quality and safety standards, a violation of the Consumer Act.

“[T]he operation targeted large-scale illegal manufacturing and distribution of consumer goods which undermined legitimate business operations and threatened [the] country’s economy,” CIDG said in a statement.
