Marcos vows to work for prosperity in BARMM

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has renewed his commitment to closely cooperate with the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to attain peace and prosperity across the country.

“Our commitment to close collaboration remains strong for just and lasting peace and prosperity, not only in Mindanao but throughout the nation,” the President said in a post on Facebook and Instagram, where he greeted the BARMM on its fifth anniversary on Thursday.

He also recognized the BARMM’s “indispensable role in our Bagong Pilipinas,” his administration’s brand of governance and leadership.

The BARMM was created through Republic Act No. 11054, or the Bangsamoro Organic Law, which former President Rodrigo Duterte signed in July 2018. —JULIE M. AURELIO
