MANILA, Philippines — Classes in most Metro Manila cities were suspended on Thursday, August 31, due to Super Typhoon Goring (international name: Saola) and enhanced southwest monsoon, locally termed habagat.
Work at Manila City Hall and operation of Manila Zoo were likewise suspended on Thursday due to the inclement weather.
