UNIVERSITY of San Carlos netters Arthur Craig “Igi” Diaz Pantino and Jan Godfrey Seno advanced to the next round of the boys 16-under of the 4th Henry Lee Memorial Age-Group Tennis Championships at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City.
After an easy second-round entry when his opponent Paolo Songco failed to show up in their first round match, Pantino cruised past eighth-seed Ivan Moses Gonzales, 4-1, 4-2, to advance to the third round.
He awaits the winner between Mama Sohaimen and John Angelo Cerezo for his next opponent. Seno showed Joseph Saraza the exit door with a 4-1, 4-0 victory. He will next go up against sixth-seed Betto Orendain in the second round. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
