3 get jail terms for Percy Lapid slay

The verdict was handed down on the persons who had served as accessories in the murder of broadcaster Percival Mabasa (also known as Percy Lapid).

Three gang leaders from New Bilibid Prison (NBP) were sentenced up to eight years of imprisonment after entering guilty pleas before a Las Piñas City court as “accessories” to the murder of radio broadcaster Percival “Percy Lapid” Mabasa, his brother announced on Friday.

In a tweet on Friday, veteran journalist Roy Mabasa, the brother of the slain commentator, said the three NBP inmates entered a guilty plea to their participation in the killing of Percy Lapid.

The three inmates were identified as Aldrin Galicia, leader of the Sputnik Gang; Alvin Labra, Batang City Jail leader; and Alfie Peñaredona, leader of the Happy Go Lucky Gang. INQ
