The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confiscated on Thursday an estimated P32 million worth of illegal drugs from a Syrian national who owns a bar in Makati City. The suspect, Mhd Alaadin Qwiader, was arrested by virtue of a search warrant following a tipoff that the suspect has been peddling dangerous drugs such as cocaine, high-grade marijuana or “kush” and ecstasy around Makati City. Qwiader allegedly supplied illegal drugs to owners of several high-end bars who, in turn, sell them to their bar clientele. NBI agents seized from the suspect 8,681 grams of high-grade marijuana, 511.5339 grams of cocaine, 4,512 tablets of different shapes and colors of suspected ecstasy, one 9mm pistol, one magazine pistol for 9mm ammunition and 50 pieces 9mm ammunitions. The suspect is now under NBI’s custody.
