Palace orders relief ops in Visayas, Mindanao

Red tide remains in Leyte, Eastern Samar seas

Malacañang on Sunday said that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), upon President Marcos’ directive, has started its relief operations in Visayas and Mindanao provinces affected by floods brought by heavy rains caused by a shear line. The Palace said that DSWD field offices in Eastern Visayas and Northern Mindanao regions have started distributing food packs to residents in affected areas in Eastern Samar, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Camiguin and Bukidnon.
