Bongbong Marcos says gov’t assets ready for Neneng aftermath

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongnbong” Marcos Jr. on Sunday assured the public that government assets are ready to deal with the aftermath of Severe Tropical Storm Neneng, as he urged affected Filipinos to follow the directives of their respective local government units (LGUs).

“We are watching #NenengPH closely. Government assets are in place to deal with the aftermath and ensure the primary needs of those affected, especially food, safe drinking water, and electricity,” said Marcos Jr. through Twitter.

“Nevertheless, to the provinces in the North that have felt the effects, help is on the way. We encourage everyone to follow the directives of your LGUs and MDRRMCs,” he added.

Neneng is currently moving across parts of Northern Luzon just days after Tropical Depression Maymay, left 1 person dead and over 43,000 people affected.

Based on the 11 a.m. typhoon bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Neneng was last spotted 115 kilometers West Northwest of Calayan, Cagayan.
