Suspended classes due to Tropical Storm Karding

At least three cities and five municipalities in Eastern Visayas have cancelled classes on Friday, Feb. 21, due to continuous heavy rains

MANILA, Philippines – Classes in several public and private schools were suspended on Friday due to the inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm Karding.

According to the advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday morning, Karding is expected to bring moderate to heavy rain showers and thunderstorms in some parts of the country.

Pagasa said that Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 may be raised as early as Friday night.
