Cloud clusters to bring rain in Caraga, Davao, N. Mindanao on Sunday
MANILA, Philippines — Cloud clusters that are approaching Mindanao may bring rain in Caraga, the Davao Region, and Northern Mindanao on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
However, Pagasa weather specialist Samuel Duran, in a weather forecast, said the cloud clusters are not expected to bring rain in Mindanao for the rest of Saturday.
“Sa Mindanao, asahan po natin na magkakaroon ng mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan dulot po ‘yan ng approaching na cloudiness na nakita natin. So ito pong Caraga region, Davao Region, kasama na rin ang Northern Mindanao ay mataas ang tsansa ng pag-ulan bukas,” he said.
(In Mindanao, we can expect scattered rain due to the cloudiness we have observed. So the Caraga region, Davao Region, and Northern Mindanao have a high chance of experiencing rain tomorrow.)
According to Duran, the easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean are still bringing hot and humid weather in the country.
He said that the easterlies may also cause localized thunderstorms in Luzon, Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao on Sunday.
