Man found dead with gunshot wound in Subic

Cop linked to Davao killing of Chinese drug suspects cited for contempt

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––A body of a man with a bullet wound was found Tuesday morning in Subic town, the police said Wednesday, Dec. 22.

A village watchman found the body lying face down at the roadside. He was between 20 and 25 years old.

The police recovered three fired cartridges of a .45-caliber gun.

The body was brought to St. James Memorial Homes in Subic while the investigation was underway.

Authorities later identified the body as that of Christian Mascariñas based on the confirmation of a relative.

Investigators said Mascariñas’ motorcycle, mobile phone, and wallet were missing.
