Fair weather in PH except in Palawan due to LPA — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather is expected in the entire country except for Palawan that may have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to a low-pressure area (LPA), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Saturday morning.
Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said the LPA was last located 125 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
“Ito ay inaasahang patuloy na kikilos pakanluran habang binabaybay ang West Philippine Sea. Nananatiling mababa ang tsansa nito na maging bagyo, ngunit asahan natin na magdudulot pa rin ito ng kalat-kalat na pag-ulan dito sa Palawan, lalong lalo na sa bahagi ng Kalayaan Islands,” she said in a weather forecast.
(This LPA is expected to move westward while traversing the West Philippine Sea. It continues to have a low chance of developing into a storm, but we expect that it will bring scattered rains in Palawan, especially in the part of Kalayaan Islands.)
Meanwhile, Pagasa’s forecast showed that Metro Manila, Visayas, Mindanao, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, and the rest of Mimaropa will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, said Pagasa.
