MANILA, Philippines — Deputy Speaker and Sagip Rep. Rodante Marcoleta filed on Friday his certificate of candidacy (COC) for senator under the PDP-Laban.

Marcoleta was among the names included in the initial senatorial slate of the PDP-Laban for the 2022 elections as announced by the party in August.

Marcoleta was among the congressmen who favored denying a new franchise for ABS-CBN in July last year. He also led the distribution of ivermectin together with Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor in Quezon City in April, despite repeated reminders from health authorities that the antiparasitic drug is still not recommended for COVID-19 treatment.
