Woman’s corpse found in Catarman village

In Northern Samar, two unidentified persons stole P204,000 in cash from an LBC branch in Catarman.

ORMOC CITY—A woman’s corpse was found by residents at a village in Catarman town, Northern Samar province past 1 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 5).

The body belonged to Lina Cubalan, 32, and had a gunshot wound in the forehead.

Maj. Wilfredo Jimenez Jr., Catarman police chief, said police received a phone call from someone who found the body.

The corpse was identified through ID cards recovered by police inside a shoulder bag which also contained P500 in cash, a list of goods to buy and a phone charger.
