P68M worth of shabu seized in Las Piñas busts

Three police officers of the Caloocan City Police Station (CPS) were arrested on Saturday for reportedly extorting “visitation fees” from the families of detainees, according to the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

MANILA, Philippines — Joint police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives seized some P68 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and arrested two alleged drug dealers in Las Piñas City. The 10 kilograms of shabu, seized in two separate operations on Saturday, were packaged as Chinese tea. The suspects were identified as Jealal Shaikalabi Mimbalawag, 23, of Quiapo, Manila; and Arabilla Leono, 29, of Barangay Talon Dos, Las Piñas City. Five kilos of shabu were seized from Mimbalawag in a buy-bust at 5 p.m. on Saturday, along C5 Extension, Barangay Manuyo I, Las Piñas City. Leono was arrested in another operation in Barangay Talon Dos with another 5 kilos of shabu.
