LINGAYEN, Pangasinan—Unidentified men shot dead Wednesday the barangay chairman of Balococ here, police said.
Frederick Abalos was on board a tricycle and was traversing a dike when he was shot several times by the motorcycle-riding gunmen at 11:40 p.m.
He was brought to the Lingayen district hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The Lingayen police are conducting a follow-up investigation for the arrest of the assailants.
