Taguig resumes second dose vaccination for Sinovac

The country’s Vaccine Expert Panel (VEP) has recommended providing a fourth COVID-19 vaccine dose to senior citizens and immunocompromised individuals, a government adviser said Friday.

MANILA, Philippines — Taguig City on Tuesday has reopened the vaccination hubs for those who will receive their second dose of anti-COVID-19 vaccine Sinovac.

In an advisory, Taguig said those who are scheduled for their second dose on Monday and Tuesday may go to the following sites until 6 p.m. on Tuesday:

The local government, however, said the administration of the first dose of any brand remains suspended.

Taguig on Monday announced the suspension of Sinovac usage for the first and second vaccination dose until a Certificate of Analysis (COA) can be obtained.

It is not yet clear, however, if the local government has already obtained the COA.
